Debt Education & Certification Foundation

New legislation has been passed that requires all consumers wishing to eliminate debts under Chapter 7 or 13 bankruptcy take part in credit counseling or “Bankruptcy Certification” from a United States Trustee approved nonprofit credit counseling agency. In addition, every consumer who files bankruptcy after October 17, 2005 must also complete a U.S. Trustee-approved debtor education course or a “Pre-Discharge Education” course prior the completion of the bankruptcy. These certifications will be delivered to the client via email, mail, or fax.

We are an approved provider of pre-filing and post-filing courses. Courses are $50 per course (no additional charge for spouses if taking the course together). Approval does not endorse or assure the quality of an Agency's services.
